This week, the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith announced that the school will be fostering the growth and development of faculty and staff in a big way. Dr. Barry Denton shares the details of the new leadership development program:

The Lions Leadership program is a new initiative that will empower 12 full-time employees each school year.  This opportunity will assist employees in building strong long term relationships across campus; UAFS believes, as a collective, that fostering an academic environment in which faculty and staff are as much a part of the campus culture as the students assists the university in making an effective and lasting impact on the region.

The inaugural class for Lions Leadership consists of 6 staff members and 6 members of faculty.  All 12 members will participate in 8 full-day workshops throughout the 2022-2023 academic year.  Sessions are set to focus on everything from student recruitment and support to holistic university advancement.
